What's Happening in STEM?
The NC STEM Center is a web portal for all things related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education in North Carolina. It was developed so parents and other caregivers, teachers and policymakers could know about STEM in North Carolina including programs and opportunities for kids and their families. The NC STEM Center also was created with program providers in mind, providing the means for discovering new partners as well as ways to showcase the STEM opportunities they might be offering. Our web portal allows you to contribute as well as search listings of STEM classes, workshops, camps, shows, and more happening right here in North Carolina.

Burroughs Wellcome Fund’s Career Award for STEM Teachers ↴
Applications for 2024 BWF's CAST Awards close on Sept. 29
The Burroughs Wellcome Fund’s Career Award for STEM Teachers (CAST)
recognizes outstanding STEM teachers in North Carolina public primary
and secondary schools. The award provides $175,000 over five years and
is available to teachers who have an outstanding performance record in
educating children and who demonstrate a solid knowledge of STEM
