NC Collaboratory issues RFP to study K-12 education

The North Carolina Collaboratory’s Office of Learning Research has opened applications for its 2026 K-12 Education Request for Proposals (RFP), inviting North Carolina higher education institutions to tackle some of the state's most pressing education challenges. This opportunity offers grants between $100,000 and $400,000 for 18-month to three-year projects designed to deliver practical, actionable policy and practice recommendations to state and local leaders. This funding cycle prioritizes four key areas: K-5 literacy interventions, family engagement, grades 4-8 math practices, and school safety and discipline. For research teams looking to make a direct impact on North Carolina schools with projects starting as early as Oct. 1, application materials must be submitted before July 31 at 5 p.m. EDT.
